For the most part every generation is more open minded then the previous one. I bet Our kids will be telling us that necrophilia, zoophilia and pedophilia is absolutely normal and that no one should dictated anyone or anything what to love :) jokes aside look at the history, before people would be frown upon if they were from different religions, like catholics would not marry a Protestant... Then marriage between people with different heritage like germans and french, then marriage between races, then same sex marriages... It is normal for people to hate change. Its in human nature... Just be sure you are different. My parents have grown up in soviet union. I was brought up in a household where women and men were equal but had their own roles, not racist (extremely against racism and were known for stoping any contact with people who made racist remarks) but at the same time did not speak to me for a week when I told them I am ok with my kids being gay (if they will be of course). You just have to learn to know what is wrong and what is right and unless they go around hanging blacks and homosexuals I wouldn't worry too much :)
