It sounds to me that underneath it all he still relates to you as a friend.. which is really a compliment, in my opinion. I'm 37, been there, done that, been thru the stupid bullshit drama of being a teenager (like this sounds, no offense, just being honest) I'm a lot smarter now.. you should listen to the advice of people older than you.. But anyway, I'd say, bottom line, the best piece of wisdom to get from this experience is that you really want a significant other to love you first as a friend. Not to say that you should go back to him, not at all.. but in the future when you date, if you start with friendship and it's meant to be, everything else will fall into place. ;)
