Is it normal that my dog poops at wierd times?

Soo a couple days ago i was on my laptop holding my dog. (shes a shih tzu)
i was holding her and (i might have been pulling her tail back a little bit maybe thats my problem)
she started kicking so i went to put her down on the ground and found that my finger had some dog waste on it.Then when i got up from the chair a piece of "it" fell on the floor...
Then this happened again in my sisters car. my sister said she took her to potty about twice at about 11:00 when my dog pooped it was maybe around 3..
Now I don't know if maybe at both these times she had to use the bathroom.. But I don't know if this is the issue...
So even though this might be like "hahah she shit in your car sux for u" im actully really curious ..
by the way she is 7 years old is it getting harder for her to maybe hold it in since shes getting older..?

    Dogs poop not long after they eat.
    If your dog has a constant food bowl maybe make set times and then leave them to play outside for a couple of hours.
