Is it normal that my daughters role model is helena bonham carter?

She's a very very good actress with an eclectic sense of style. That I know of, she's never been very wild or promiscuous. I'd say she's a better role model than Paris Hilson or Kim Kardashian, imo.

I love Helena Bonham Carter, and I think she is a wonderful role model to have. She is an individual who dresses the way she wants to and doesn't let anyone tell her otherwise (she doesn't even have a personal stylist), she is a very loving mother to her children Billy and Nell, she has been in a monogamous relationship with director/producer Tim Burton for 10 solid years, she doesn't party or do drugs, and she doesn't let her fame go to her head.

I second what the other posters have said. Maybe your daughter is more mature than her peers. A lot of the roles she plays are a little weird maybe, but she is married to Tim Burton and in a lot of his movies, so it goes with the territory. She is actually quite pretty, seems down to earth, is a phenomenal actress, and is a family woman. Good for your daughter avoiding the younger, partying crowd.

Not common, but a great role model to have!

HB-C actually has a lot of personality, intelligence and passion... at least one of these things is missing in the majority of athletes, hotties and actresses/singers you hear about in your average teen magazine!

She looks like my aunt (who is also theatrical). But I think she's a pretty good role model. Like the poster above me said, a better role model than those two.

That's wonderful her role model is Helena Bonham Carter!! She's an amazing actress, seems to be a well-rounded person and a good parent. And she has her own sense of style, and doesn't give a fart what people think of her. I think she's an amazing person to look up to! You should check out her movies, she's a fantastic actress! She's really well known for her role as Bellatrix Lestrange in the "Harry Potter" series (starting with Order of the Phoenix), but she was also the female lead in "The King's Speech", the mom in "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory", and many other films. I really recommend checking out "The Magnificent Seven", in which she plays a mother to 7 autistic children. You can find it on Youtube. But anyway, yeah I definitely suggest checking her movies out, and learning some more about her and her work :-)

Better than Miley Cyrus or Kesha...

Helena Bonham Carter's a good actress; I think it's actually unique that your daughter finds her as a role model.
