Is it normal that my daughter is so obsessed with harry potter?

I was usually about the same age as Harry when the books came out and I am the same age as the actors. Especially with the new movie everything is about potter right now. Let her be a kid a little longer. We grow up so fast!

Harry Potter is designed that way. Kind of like a book or series of books written by a committee to brainwash the little ones.

Everyone has things they are passionate about.
Btw, she sounds alot like my sister, well, I dunno if she is "that obsessed", but she is a big potter fan.

Better Potter than Twilight. Twilight has way too many sexual undertones and is completely inappropriate for Christians.

Being passionate about something makes life more interesting. You always have something to collect when you have extra money, you feel inspired to make art/writing/music based on it, and you can make friends with like-minded people either through the Internet or even real-life fanclubs. So I say it's normal. :)

Good for her. It's important for people to be enthused by something. It reminds them to look for other things to be enthused by.
