Children aren't necessary. If it were the old days when we didn't have much shelter, food was scarce, and people were dying from simple illnesses, then yeah, having children would be beneficial to our survival as a spieces (that's the whole point of it). Nowadays, we don't need to have children, it's just a choice; it's only odd when people choose not to because we're hardwired to reproduce like any other animal out there.
Just let your daughter enjoy life as she sees fit.
