That is normal. After all, it seemed to me that he adored you so much. He was probably caught off guard by the news. And he most likely considered you his sweet daughter. No dad wants their daughter knocked up. Although I don't know whether the man involved is helping you care for the baby.
He changed his initial reaction because he had time to process it. Men need to process things since they are so different from us girls.
I am happy that you are having the baby. I won't say whether you should take the money or not, that is your decision. But think carefully of the child's needs which are going to grow as the child gets older. And most of all, think of yourself- job, bills and such.
if you decide that you don't want the money, I recommend saying it something like this- " thank you for offering to help, but no thanks." or something like that.
