Is it normal that my dad likes to stare at my face?

My dad likes to just stare at my face for a while then comment about how pretty I am or point out a pimple. It makes me uncomfortable sometimes. Is this normal?

If it makes your uncomfortable, there’s probably a reason. You seem to be able to sense that this is wrong and creepy so it shouldn’t be happening.

My dad did that. Not telling me about pimples though. But how pretty I was or that I looked like my mom. I never thought it was creepy. My dad is just a really good dad.

I don’t think I’m pretty. But people tell me I am quite often. 🤷🏾‍♀️

You've always given off the vibe of being pretty, so you probably are 🤷‍♀️

Not normal unless you're under 2 months old.

My mom always stares at me. My mom used to love to sit next to me while I was on the computer, and just watch what I was doing. It was kinda annoying, and a little creepy, but sorta cute, because it's my mom.

It's not something I do with my daughter.

I think she's an attractive kid, but I hardly ever say that. I do regularly compliment her on her art, how much effort she puts into studying, tasks she does around the house without being asked, her being kind, considerate and conscientious, and other character-related things that are much more important than her appearance.

I was extremely self-conscious about pimples when I was a kid, so I never say anything when she has one. There are mirrors in the house, and I'm sure she's aware of what's on her face, so what's the point of doing that?

I take a similar approach. My daughters are intelligent and I make sure to acknowledge that often to help build their confidence. They are also very beautiful but I don't mention it much unless they bring it up because I know the rest of the world is going to focus intensely on their physical appearance. They have so much more to offer than just being nice to look at.

Hoe, everything inside of me wants to say "show him yo tits!"
Coz, ya know, this is IIN and y'all be mothafuckin craycray.
I suggest yo ass starts to be more vigilant and try see if he is trying to sneak peeks at you and such.
Otherwise, if not, then I guess that nigga is just a caring dad

If he does it everytime then not only will that sound a bit weird but it would then become abnormal.
