A lot of my comments go missing (although not so much recently). I can see both sides of the argument. People feel ownership of their stories and should have the right to remove unwanted comments (like graffiti on the side of your house). However, people shouldn't shouldn't necessarily have the right to censor IIN users. They most certainly shouldn't censor for selfish reasons or to maintain their "image".
Since the mods here don't seem to do very much in terms of handling harassment, I think it makes sense to have the option, even though I don't always agree with how people use it.
