Is it normal that my coach offered to do this?
Ok so given that the title is quite vague i'll explain. So I play for a football team that I just joined, I'm at university and the team is part of a club. I am the youngest (20yrs old) most of the girls are over 25. The club coach (he doesn't coach us but he organizes games for both the women and men's team, ensures uniforms are made etc and like paperwork, he's over 30 years old). I just moved to spain and therefore still can't properly speak the language yet but I can hold a conversation. Anyway, we'd just finished with our game and I was heading out, a few of the girls were walking ahead of me and the coach saw them at the gate and said bye to them. He seemed to be lingering around doing nothing really. As i was on my way out I said bye but he stopped me and said are you taking the subway home so I told him I did so he offered to give me a ride to the nearest stop since it's a 30 minute walk and I accepted. He only speaks spanish so I tried my best to keep the conversation going. He was really nice and kept correcting me when I'd say something wrong etc he asked alot of general questions like did you move here with family, which 'district' I live in, my uni courses, I'm originally italian so he was asking about italy etc. He dropped me off and that was that. What I find weird is that he didn't offer to give a ride to any of the other girl who'd walked out just a couple of mins before me and they all take the subway as well. He's always trying to start conversations at training which I always assumed as him being friendly but I don't know maybe I'm just over-thinking it. Honestly I just want another opinion on this. Thank you for taking the time to read this and answer.
