No you shouldn't be fondling her they can still go into heat after getting fixed. male cats can still spray after being fixed but it takes them a few years before they can i've seen it and smelled it its not a pleasant smell its "quite" bad.
just leave her alone and she will quit acting like that in a week or 2.
