Sounds like identity crisis. He seems to infer that to "live" and "struggle" in the real world is to peddle drugs and shoot up people who wear different colors than you. That's not living in the real world. It is struggling, but it's struggling brought upon by choice. Unfortunately, he has convinced himself that that is reality.
