So... My boyfriend has been urging me to have sex with him in my pool. We've done it before but never in a pool. I'm kinda scared about it. I don't really know why he wants to so badly. He is very into the idea. Is it normal?

This is a very real concern. Try using Vaseline though, it doesn't come off with water and get more liquidity as it heats up. That used to work great for me, we stopped doing it in the pool because of UTIs though :/
I've had sex in water (swimming pool, sea, bath) and it was good, no friction burns for either party, no infections, no problems.
Having it in the pool makes your vagina feel tighter than usual and it IS nice experience.

he probably has never done it before, otherwise he would know that the water in the pool is not compatible with natural lube, unless you guys lay on the side of the pool with just your legs in.

Having sex in a pool or hot tub is a very high risk of getting an infection, especially for women. You would have a risk of getting a yeast infection and it can cause urinary tract infections.
Also depending on the chemical in the pool it can cause your vagina to get dry and irritated.
