This is what i think i has happened. He has gotten very very cocky now that he has you. Considering you said that he rarely gets girls and now that he is dating a beautiful girl he thinks he is god's gift and can act like it.
Most young guys do this, but you want to know what you should do? GIVE HIM A TASTE OF HIS OWN MEDICINE. That means, you start acting exactly like he is. Not saying become a jackass like him, more of you giving him a taste of his own behaviour. He is in the 'comfortable zone' as i like to call it= he can act in any way because he knows you will stick by him and be the nice lil gf that you are.
Show some backbone. You are beautiful and you sound like a very nice girl and you are taking this from him? FROM HIM? ha! See, once you demonstrate strength and character it will induce fear in him because then he will realize, 'hang on, why isn't she being the lovey dovey gf who is always quite'thats when reality will kick in and then he will change because then he will realize what he has and will be afraid to loose it which will trigger change. TRUST ME, IT DOES WORK, i did the same thing to my bf when he was being a bit of a prick and then... voila.. they realize how grateful they should be.
BUT... if he does not end up changing then honestly, LEAVE HIM, because he is not even worth it!
