You are absolutely right; I have zero empathy. It won't help anybody, at this point. Emotions are worthless to an abused person; action is important. Action is needed, not empathy.
No deary, I'm not studying psychology, I did that almost half a century ago and I've been practicing it ever since, in my professional life. So go comfort the poor wounded lamb and make her feel all better, until the next time, and hopefully someone in her life will get real and do something productive.
