I think that I might approach him and let him know that you wished you could have done something a little nicer for Valentine's Day. I mean, I'm not big on the holiday, so I've always made it quite clear that I don't need anything special. But if this is something that is bothering you and something that is important to you, you should really talk to him about it. :)
