It's a tricky one. Would your boyfriend have been as angry if you'd stayed up talking to a girl? If not, then it's partly a trust issue. If it's purely that he gave you time alone and you stayed up anyway, I'm sure it'll blow over. It's not like you planned to do this. It's also not like you've lied to your boyfriend about it.
