The thing you do wrong is that you reassure him every time he acts like a child, basically rewarding his whiny behavior. As long as you do that, he's gonna keep being a pathetic little drama queen. What you need to do is, be cold with him and tell him straight up that he's acting like a petulant little kid and you can't be with an immature guy so he better stop the bullshit or else you're gonna leave him for good.
