My boyfriend said I may be his red herring. I thought that was a bad thing. Is that a normal thing to call your girlfriend?

    According to the OED, is a clue which is intentionally or unintentionally misleading or distracting from the actual issue. It's either that, or he's calling you a fish \:

    Every couple has there cute nicknames for eachother :/ my bf calls me his boot shaped chivjen nugget n I call him my fishtick /Dolly haha to each his own(: do you have red hear? Or resemble a fish?

      Yeah; all couples have cute nicknames. I call mine "rotty" ever since he started decomposing. :)

        How is the communication between you 2? Is it good or is there alot of "dead" air?

        At least you know if you 2 break up he wont be going to pieces over it, he's already there!

        But in social situations it must be tough, he has to come across as a little "stiff" at times, right?
