Tell him stop, or, start referring to him as just "boy", like the old times. I used to work in a building owned by a former heavyweight boxing champion (I won't say his name, but..it rhymes with..romes), and ran into him in the elevator several times. And, each time, I was referred to as "Whitey".
Do you think if I responded with boy, black boy, etc, it would be as equally thought of? No.. I'd be the racist, not him.
