Yes! OP may not understand why her boyfriend is not into this particular thing, but the bottom line is that he's not into it. She needs to try to respect, and accept the fact that he's not into it.
I think one of the biggest problems people have is expecting people to conform to their wants, needs, beliefs, morals values, etcetera. I think it's important to be willing to accept, reject people for who they are. I also think it's ideal to find someone with whom one shares common interests, a sense of humor, morals, values, beliefs, and share general compatibility.
It's not rocket science, but it's not always easy either.
