Tough case. I feel bad for him and you. Perhaps you should just keep trying to talk to him and assure him you mean no harm. Let him understand, in some way, that you really want to help him. If these approaches to gain his trust fail, you should instead bring the doctor or therapist..etc to him. Probably very expensive, but better than nothing. You have my regards, both of you.
