Wow, that's pretty low. Especially since y'all were "best friends," and should be straight forward with each other. From what you said, it doesn't sound like you did anything wrong. Of course being ignored hurts no matter what, so I can't really help you there other than sympathy, but you can at least take comfort in knowing it's not your fault.
