Is it normal that my bed shakes as I'm about to fall asleep.

  • This crops up on IIN every six months or so. I've had it (but so rarely that I always forget until someone brings it up). A few other people seem to have it too. None of us knew what it was, but we all thought it wasn't anything much to worry about.

Actually, thinking about it again, one of the times I had it turned out to be a very minor earthquake (which are happening world-wide pretty much all the time). Maybe some people are just more sensitive to them.

    • I'm pretty sure it's vertigo. The same way sometimes if you're laying down with your eyes closed it will feel like the room is spinning, or the bed is hurtling through space... it can also shake. Happened to me once, scared the hell out of me at first because we don't live anywhere near a fault line. Had a tremor in this town once and I didn't feel it. :P

I looked it up online after that and found similar stuff under symptoms of vertigo. :3

      • That's a good point. It never even crossed my mind. I'll bet that's what it is. I was reaching a bit with the earthquake stuff and I only half-believed myself. :D
