Is it normal that my appearance affects me this much?

  • I am a couple years younger than you but when I was in my early teens I was very disappointed with my looks. I still think and know that I am rather far on the ugly side. However, as hard as this is, I realized that I couldn't change how I looked and that I didn't care what other people thought. I have applied this to many things like auditioning to not get nervous and it is a huge improvement. I still don't like the way I look but I stay in great shape and am a rather happy guy now. One of my brothers friends told him I was like the popular football star in high school and could get any girl I wanted. Doubtful veracity but still others won't think you are so unappealing as evidenced by this. Don't waste time worrying about what you can't change!
