I have a wonderful vision in which adults are created, not born in some sort of machine. That way we can eliminate the sights and sounds of unfortunate shambling mobs of gobs of oil wrapped in skinny jeans and lop sided multicoloured awful haircuts.
I don't like them, I used to be one so they can furrow their brows in a vain attempt to understand our frustrations with them. Maybe even use vulgar language if they please. They're moody, smelly, make poor decisions, look awful, spotty, are excessively loud - especially in confined spaces, greasy to the touch etc.
It's down to biochemistry, not only the classic cause of 'hormones' - there's also a whole mess of redundant neuron connections (synapses?) in the teenage brain that need to be trimmed back as they develop into adults. Hopefully the brain pruning some of those redundant neurons remedying some of the traits that some folks find disagreeable.
Rapid change to the internal chemistry, a developing brain, a (temporary) drop in IQ, new found innate urges to prove selective fitness and procure matings (I presume that's why they congregate in large groups), as well as peer pressure due to their hive mentality and having us grown ups giving them 'grief' - being a teenager must be quite a hard work... All lead to the behaviors and other undesirable qualities that appear to drive other inhabitants of this mortal realm absolutely mad.
Then there are cultural reasons and don't get me started on the media! I suppose we don't have the (aren't we lucky) misfortune of having to be a teenager in a time where advertising is absolutely everywhere. A time where an image is being pushed in your face where you either have to be a lop fringed crybaby clad in black, or a rich idiot that somehow, miraculously, came from a housing estate by reciting poetry to a beat... Don't even get me started on this modern music! Pop culture is more annoying than a horde of teenagers.
However I suppose they're not all bad, maybe even bearable in small doses. Not all of the time. Small doses.
Who am I kidding? Ha ha ha... They're just annoying. Aren't we all though?
Well, in conclusion - yes it is normal. Quite normal indeed, almost expected, but not an excuse!
Sorry teenyboppers - but you will look back one day and realise that you were little jerks. Happens to us all.
Yes every kid beat up a nerd, beat up a kid on camera, forced themselves on someone or treated someone so bad they killed themselves or shot up the school. This must be 100% of people. THAT IS WRONG!
is it normal that most all teenagers are little jerks?

But, yes of course, not 100%. Nothing is ever 100%.
