It's wrong to generalize but I do agree with you. The mass majority are very rude an abrasive and stand off-ish for reasons that remain unknown. They do look down on women and I agree with you about that too. If they won't respect out equality laws or are constantly rude they need to leave. When I was in afghanastan the shieks and tribal leaders per say were very rude to women and viewed them as property to be treated as such. They bing attitudes like that over here and think it's acceptable when it couldn't be any more not. The media also does middle eastern men no justice though making almost everyone on edge around them. That's not thier faults and some are wonderful people. It's a tough situation for you because even if you stand up for yourself it won't work.
