Is it normal that me and my best-friend are like this?

Well, I have this friend and we hang out a lot. We hang with each other more than we hang with our girlfriends, and it's not on purpose. I mean, I guess we just enjoy the company so much it's kinda innate to chill all the time. For example, I'm always at his house or vice versa, I eat / drink after him (and honestly, I don't even notice sometimes.. just happens), I usually pay for his food if we go somewhere after school, when ANYTHING in my life goes good or bad, he's usually the first to know, we fight (all the time) and then 5 minutes later it's like nothing happened, we wrestle & play PS3 often. Geez, I call his mom "ma", same for his dad and little brother, etc. People say that if we were gay we'd totally be right for each other and others say that we have a "bromantic" relationship (not too sure what that is).

Is that weird to you, or normal? (Note: I just want opinions, so please comment.)

    It sounds like you have more of a brother relationship than a friend, saying you fight then forget about it - that's a sign of unconditional love and you should be happy you have a friend like this. However, you should watch that your girlfriends don't get upset about this, girls need attention and can get a bit crazy if they feel second best...even if they are second to your friendship try not to make it so obvious!

      @Crazycow - You're absolutely right. I meant to add that we call each other "Family" by default, meaning, If I say "Bro", he'll know I'm talking about him and usually responds with a "What?".

      About the whole girlfriend thing, I kinda decided that I don't want to get married, so I'm just dating to say I am.

    Well I guess it should be normal to just dump the girlfriends and hang out you and him. I mean you guys are allways together so why add two poor girls to your experience?? To get them jelous and confused?

    We men have always had a desire to connect with our masculine tribe. Developmental psychology recognizes there is a period of time for young boys to hang out together, play games, be 'buddies' and think girls are icky. This is a season of time where we males bond with our own gender as males. As we mature, most of us begin to recognize girls and develop an interest. When this bonding doesn't happen as it should, the desire lingers into adolescence and adulthood. That's one reason guys go for a beer after work, hang out at ballgames, go hiking together, etc... for male bonding. Women the same with their girlfriends. Some guys have a greater desire for 'buddy time' than others. It shouldn't be immediately judged as being 'gay'.

    I had a good freind like that. We even talked all about sex stuff, and even showed our privates to each other, to compare. That was a little depressing at first, but not really. he was bigger than me, and when I grabbed his hard on, it was quite a bit thicker than mine. But he complimented me on my larger dick head. It was so cool to have someone you could trust to tell everying to, no matter how embarrassing. I miss our friend ship, as I moved away.

    well a bromace is just two guys who are extremely good friends thats all and its nothing to be ashamed of, just cause your really close with a same sex friend doenst mean your gay so dont worry what people say, chances are they are jealous, I think its really cool you have a friend your that close with and i think its normal rare but normal its cool so no more worries

    Some people go their whole lives and don't ere have a friend like you do. Charish him and don't be afraid total him you love him(as a friend).
