  • Why are you wasting so much time think about the what if's with Trump when everyone knows that he can't possibly get the GOP nomination. He flat chat doesn't have the support from his own party. Polls don't matter in this. His own party will not give him the nomination.

    • What are you talking about ? He has been the frontrunner for months. Barring some kind of crazy scenario, its almost a certainty that he will get the nomination

      • And by front runner you mean he has 25% support, meaning 75% do not support him. When the pack starts to thin, that 75% is nowhere near in his pocket. He will also need support from Super Delegates that are not beholden to the voters, and who are party insiders that have no interest in him.

At this same point in the 2008 race, Rudy Giuliani was polling between 45% and 50% for the Republican nomination, about double Trump's suppourt, and he had been the front runner by a wide margin for about a year. Giuliani won exactly 0 primary states. If you think Trump is a lck because of some polls that include at least 10 candidates that won't last beyond the first two primarily/caucus states, you don't know anything about how the primary elections (which are not real elections) work.

      • Do you read? He may be ahead in the polls, but he has virtually no support from any other Republicans. They hate him as he will not toe the party line. It ain't up to the public at this point, it's all about support from the party.
