What was so concerning about the capitol riot? Antifa and blm was attacking a federal courthouse for over a hundred days! And those only resulted in like 20 actual convictions.
For some who went inside the capitol the guards actually opened the doors! Is a special task force really necessary to bust down peoples doors when there is camera evidence of rioters beating police in Portland that got off the hook Scott free.
The election thing is stupid. But the highly suspect democrats arent doing anything to compromise with the republicans. It's making people angry when you dont cooperate. Making voting easier?! Right after an entire political party thinks a high percentage of the voter system being rigged? Doesnt matter if it isnt. People need to be shown the truth and democrats blocking every attempt at counting and making it more secure is super suspicious even to people like me who dont belive the election was rigged.
Republicans have constantly tried to stop the investigation into January 6th, but it only seems to be an issue when Democrats are causing problems.
The capitol riot was concerning because I've been ingrained with certain American values that building represented and housed, and a bunch of ravenous lunatics who had more loyalty to a man than to the actual values this country is supposed to uphold tried to overthrow the government and put Trump into power in the most undemocratic way possible.
But life, liberty, the pursuit of happiness, basic human rights, all that fun stuff indoctrinated into me from childhood, it doesn't matter. The United States is better in theory than how it is. I also don't want to be around for a Roman Empire esque fall
Anyone with more than 2 brain cells and a basic knowlage of how our goverment works knows that overthrowing it that way is impossible.
Actually the fall of the roman empire was caused by multiple reasons but the senate also started axing political rivals so that's always a bad sign. Such as biden allowing political censorship especially when it benefits his side.
He literally called republicans baby eaters. Donald Trump made exaggerations but not that far. If people lose trust in how the federal goverment treats them they will default to state laws and sanctuary counties.
When did I ever justify the actions of BLM and antifa? This inability to think beyond black/white, us vs. them mentality are one of the things I can't stand about fellow Americans. And why would an insurrection NOT be worrying, especially when security meant to protect are on the sides of those wanting to do harm to those in the building? I feel like that makes it MORE disturbing.
Trump's presidency exposed a lot about Americans' true character, and it's not something I'd like to identify with.
Is it normal that liberals annoy me?
