Is it normal that lately i've been holding back pointless tears?

It seems that, throughout the last few weeks, I've felt the urge to cry over nothing.
I'm not even sad about anything or stressed over school work. :\
Can anyone else relate?

  • If you feel like crying for "no reason", then there is probably an underlying issue that's bothering you and you're not consciously aware of it. I've been feeling that way a lot too. I find that the thing that helps me most is writing about my thoughts and feelings. I just open up a Word document and start typing about my feelings. Afterwards I feel emotionally refreshed. You should try it and see if it makes you feel better.

  • Probably hormones. I am like that, but then /i found out I had anxiety, so that was the reason for me. Didn't even know I had it until I went to a doctor about something completly different! XD Anyhoo, probably nothing serious, just try to cry in private. And don't hold them back if no-ones watching! Otherwise they'll build up and you could be crying for hours over nothing, haha!

  • I know how you feel, I get this alot. I think that rather than holding it back, you find somewhere to let it all out. Sometimes I really feel like going to a huge empty space and just yelling. Getting it all out will probably make you feel better than keeping it all in.

  • yes i get emotional when its a few days before and after a full moon. but when i get very emotional for no reason and i cant control it, i take to the punching bag for a while to get it out. i always feel so much better afterwards. so maybe work out or go for a run or something similar to use up all that pent up emotion.

  • yeah I can, but im just like that cuz I've been trying to go on birth control and all the hormones make me cry about nothin
