Is it normal that its hard for me to be friends with co-workers

I have had multiple jobs over the years and out of all of them I was rarely friends with any of my co-workers and had trouble making casual conversation with them.

Even though outside of work I have no problem keeping up casual conversation with anyone. IIN?

  • I like farting in groups and seeing everyone scatter

  • I have had many jobs too, And sometimes the other employees, wanna make it hard for you so you'll quit. Because they feel like your a threat to their job, or their jealous or some bullshit. But just try talking to a few of the nicer ones. And forget the rest.

  • I suppose it depends on what kinda job you're working. I've had certain jobs where little to no skill was required and I didn't make a lot of friends at those jobs because it was hard to find people with whom I shared common interests.

    • yeah, connect much easier when working together with someone on something rather than just standing around during free time, trying to force small talk, at least while at work

  • I think so. I've always found that when I'm in "work mode" I'm kind of playing a role and acting a certain way so I might be a little more guarded and less casual, which just makes it different relating to people at work vs real life. You might find this too.

Also, I've worked with quite a few people who make no effort being friendly because they just don't want to be at work.
