Is it normal that it takes me a couple seconds to reply?

When someone asks me a question like "Whose car is parked at your neighbor's I thought he didn't drive"? It takes me a like 3 or 4 seconds to answer. Anyone else take long to answer questions you really weren't ready for? Am I just overanalyzing myself or is something wrong?

    Yeah, for simple stuff like, "Do you want a bag?" (When you buy stuff), I actually think about it for maybe between 1-3 seconds before I answer. Just to see if I actually want a bag.

    Yeah when it comes to converstaions I process stuff slowly but anything else and I'm pretty "fast"

    Well i dont know if its normal but i do it too. It has made most social interactions excruciating due to the plethora of "are you retarded?" looks. However i just roll with that shit.

    I always say there's a difference between being dumb and being slow. It just takes my brain slightly longer to process information.

    It's different for everyone but I think this is normal to some. I don't do that personally but some people take some time to think before they answer and there's nothing wrong with that.
