I mean, it is though. Microwave chicken tenders and run others through an oven, you'll see which tastes better. I've used those hot water faucets on commercial coffee brewers to make ramen and it tastes better than microwaving it.

There are a lot of different ways to cook things that cook them differently, in ways that can benefit or diminish them as well
I agree with your point though, it is a little pedantic to think of oneself as too good to never accept microwaved tea
