I can't really say if it is or isn't normal, really. I'd find it more amusing than irritating.
It does, however, annoy me when I'm trying to get them in or out of somewhere and they take their good sweet time, standing around and contemplating over whether or not they want to enter or exit a room before the door is closed.
I have one cat in particular who makes me want to bop her over the head with a magazine every time I shut her out of the bathroom because she can't make up her mind if she wants in or not, then suddenly decides she does and begins yowling and clawing at the door while I'm trying to take care of business. Is it normal that indecisive cats bother me?
