There are far more people that don't party than there are people that do part, you just hear more about the "party animals" nowadays. I'm quite the antisocial type and the idea of "partying" just makes me sigh. I never understood what is so great about dancing terribly, next to sweaty dancers, to terrible music, with a terrible price for drinks. I don't drink but I've heard that it's very expensive to get a drink in clubs.
Drinks - Expensive.
People - Rubbing their sweat all over you.
Music - Terrible music.
Personal space - None.
I never understood why people like it. I think the majority of them only like it because it's the "cool" thing to do nowadays.
