I think you'll discover as you grow older, that we start life with very volatile emotions which grow ever more stable with age until you reach middle age at which point you begin to realize you've experienced wars, national crises, floods, famine, pestilence, and everything under the sun and survived.
Then, one day you have your 40th birthday and everybody tells you, "Life begins at forty" and you want to tell them to shut up as you begin to realize time is limited and yours is running out. Then you decide life isn't so bad and you you've survived so far so why not see the rest of the play because it's really quite fascinating.
Is it normal that Im the most pathetic 19 year old who ever lived?
