Is it normal that im so mature and introverted?

Hey,

Ill set some background information. Im 18, i finished high school last year and waiting to start university in a month or so.

I have had many friends, but most of them have been superficial - we talked at school and never saw eachother outside of school. Only a few - which i still talk to now and plan to for a while - have been real friends.

While all my friends like to go clubbing and i see so many feeds on facebook "had a great time at Sorry Grandma!" etc etc. I do not wish to go clubbing and would rather stay at home browsing the net or reading a book on physics/chemistry. I have had a FEW girlfriends, but we have never really been serious - so i might as well not even call them that.

While all of my mates and people i know are geting laid, getting partners or partying the nights away, i am sitting at home, or working my part time job!

I rarely see my friends, and in my spare time from work - 3 days a week, sometimes less - i spend it on the computer or by myself reading. If im invited to a party, i will go but not drink and have a shit time...

Is it normal to feel so introverted and enjoy solitude?
