I would like to say that it is common and very normal, but also rude. Friends can joke around like that with friends because some people honestly have humor like that. Its okay with them so they'll do it too. Everyone isn't like that though and personally, I don't insult people's attributes because I don't like it when people want to spout such negative comments to me. People like to confuse being blunt with being rude. Being blunt doesn't give anyone a VIP pass to outright down talk people, it doesn't work that way. If a group of friends get used to doing that then okay. Just don't be surprised when you either hurt someone's feelings or people start showing you how well they've been practicing their hooks.
