Okay im 17 years old guy, i met this girl who is younger by 2 years. She is super cool as a friend because she is out going, active , understanding, caring and willing to try things(brave basically which makes a girl fun). I had rules all my life about about girls for example never pouring out my heart before she does inless im about to lose her and never dating a girl my age or younger. I just got dumped by this girl 2 years younger then me a exception i have never done in my life and it ended super bad basically i never ever wanna have her again no matter what she says. Anyways this rule comes in now the new girl i just met, she is to young for me and i told her many times but she still wants to date me i guess and she told me about her ex that she did stuff with and was about ready to lose her virginity too after 9 months and she told me how that broke down her self esteem because before she had rules for losing it like a guy who loves her and has been in a relationship for atleast 11 months but now since the break up she just wants to lose it to any guy who cares about her not mattering the amount of time together so i told her to keep those rules or else shes just gonna get used by everyone never compromise cause then shes putting a lower value on her self and shes suppppppper horny and i wont lie im horny too (im a 17 year old guy what can i say) and we started talking about sex and we knew eachother for almost a month talkin alot and she has told me she wants to lose her virginty to me which i would love to take BUT im not the right guy for her cause shes a cool girl i know im gonna be close friends with her but not the one to take her virginity... i joking around with her i told her that we cant chill its to dangerous cause shes super honry and i guess she took it serious and told me she would get a purity ring for me and wear it till i was ready for her... And i took that deal knowing i will never sleep with her but i want to buy time so i can stop her from losing it to some fool who is just gonna hit that and leave and add her to his list not even as a name but a #...is it normal that im making her wear a purity ring to keep her from losing her virginity to some fool?

    Yeah people hype virginity up so much. It's honestly just a bunch of awkward fumblings, "ows", and it either lasts too long from nerves or too quickly from excitement. When I lost mine I was glad it was gone, and I wouldn't want it back to find the one, because some people never find that person or they have to wait a long time.

    Have fun while you're young and don't let anybody tell you how you are supposed to live your life. Not parents, bibles, schools, government, not even me. They can be a good starting point but you don't have to be a slave to another man's beliefs and ideas, instead be the creator of ideology and live the world according to you.

    Hey, I think your story was great.. I don't mind the big paragraph. But I think it's great that you are trying to protect her(: maybe when you guys get to know eachother you guys will be together as a couple. Maybe you will trust her enough with out the purity ring. Also, about your rules.. Everyone gets hurt sometimes.. Don't be affraid to date a girl younger because who knows.. She might just be the one for you.(:

    For starters, a purity ring doesn't do jack. Let's face it, if she wants to have sex, she'll have it. Sex should be enjoyed by everyone and anyone, and should happen when both parties are ready to take the relationship to a more physical level.

    Secondly, what kind of people have you met?!
    My best friend is male, never once has he came up to me and said 'Guess what! I just *hit that*, i've just reached 50!'.
    You have to give guys credit, not all of them are sex hungry man pigs. You're bringing your own gender down with this post.

    I think it's nice that you care enough to try and help her not loose it to some random guy, but a purity ring isn't going to do anything more than likely. If they want it, they are going to get it and a ring isn't going to stop that. I guess people put virginity on different levels of importance but for me, afterwards, it wasn't really a big deal, but of course it could be different for her.

    I think it's really sweet of you to think of her before yourself. I'm in a similar situation with a guy two years my senior minus the whole "horny" and losing my virginity to him. Oh, and the guy is the same age as you. Seeing as though this girl and I are the same age and have (from what you've described) the same personality, I assume she will understand and back off a little. Just try to give her some space, but don't ignore her. Find something in-between and try to avoid talking about sex.

    Did he ever say that he was making her wear one? No he's not forcing her to wear the ring. She got it herself until he is ready for her. If you would stop bitching about how long this is and ACTUALLY read it then maybe you would understand, but obviously most of you are not capable of that.

    But in other words, I think that if she wants to save herself for you, that's sweet. It may be that later on she finds someone else.

    Just man the fuck up and use your dick, your 17 and should be going out and getting laid, in regards to the girl just think of it that you would be doing her a favour and at least she will be losing it to someone she likes and who evidently cares for her, in regards to you just think of it as you getting some experience inbetween the sheets. Plus come on sex is the greatest thing in the world, don't deny yourself this.
