It is not normal.I am a Psychiatrist and that is a trait of killers.I have worked with many people who has tortured animals and they eventually became serial killers.Why you may ask?It is because if you torture animals sooner or later there squels will not be satisfying and you will crave more.You will move to kidnapping kids and torturing them.There cries and pleads will be satisfying for awile.After that you will be hooked.You will keep killing and killing.Never cross the line between thinking and doing.
