Is it normal that iam close with all the popular guys but not girls?

Iam pretty popular with a lot of the guys but I'm not really popular with the girls and I feel like weird or awkward when I hang with the popular guys and they hang with the popular girls I get really quite and idk I don't like it though and I was wondering if there was a way to be popular with the girls to? Or how do just be popular overall?

    Be funny, with hint of cockyness, Dress nice, drive nice car, etc... but i would just stick to being myself and blend as much of that together to get as popular but still be yourself that one girl just might KICK YOU IN THE BALLS and say lets be friends my SUGAR DADDY hahahaha no but seriously all of the above.
