I skimmed through your post but I would have to agree that people should adopt more - though I can definitely understand why people prefer the usual mating option.
"The usual mating option" might not be an option for some couples, take same sex couples, or couples with reproductive problems. And others who can't affort invitro, surogacy or fertility treatments which are more expensive than adoption.
Is it normal that I wish more people would adopt children?
