I've felt this exact way before. It's like them being stupid shields them from real life. They smile and laugh and can be happy because they don't see the mess and destruction happening right in front of them. They're just... carefree.
Here I am wondering when the United States is going to blow itself up to get out of debt, and these people are only sitting around worrying about their dog that ran away earlier in the day. If I weren't so observant, smart, and caring about this world and it's situation, I wouldn't be as stressed and I'd be like these people I see walking down the street with a huge smile on their face.
I not, however, jealous of them. I'd rather be smart and observant than dumb and naive.
But you are 100% normal in my eyes! :D
