Kids will bully for just about anything, but the funny thing is that era of music (also my favorite) generally seems to be the most well received and popular out of all of the "classic" eras from what I can tell. There are still plenty of radio stations that exclusively play it, it's in a lot of current pop culture, and a lot of it is pretty well known. Kids typically like the music and trends their parents grew up with, too (hence why a lot of trends seem to circle around about every 30 years or so).
IIN That I was bullied in school for liking older music?

And music from 2006-2009 is pretty damn maligned nowadays. LOL.

I wouldn't be surprised if it will have a revival in the future though tbh. Even if something stinks, people will still be nostalgic for it.

True, just a certain amount of time needs to pass, it seems. Old things seem to come back "in" at some point or another.
