Without knowing *why* you want to wear them, it's hard to say whether you're normal or not. That said, I can tell you that, for example, a lot of truck drivers wear women's undies because they come in silk and satin and help stop chaffing which is a really common problem for them. They're not into it for the sake of the underwear - they do it for the sake of comfort.
There could be any number of reasons someone wants to wear the underwear of the opposite sex, but stay the hell out of your mother's underwear drawer! That is just crossing the line. If you really want to wear women's undies, order some online, or buy them in person "for your girlfriend" if you're embarrassed. Plenty of guys buy stuff for their partners, so that's no biggie. But don't go to your mother's room...
