  • hep C is now curable so why aren't you treated? The Hepatitis C virus is considered “cured” if the virus is not detected in your blood when measured with a blood test 3 months after treatment is completed. This is called a sustained virologic response (SVR) and data suggest that you will stay virus free indefinitely.Sofosbuvir was one of the first direct-acting antivirals (DDAs) to target hep C, a disease spread through direct blood-to-blood contact. DDAs work in different ways to stop hep C from making copies of itself.

    • The reason why I'm not cured from Hep C yet is because my lousy health insurance kept rejecting me. Their first "reason" for rejecting me was because the pills were too expensive. Then their other "reason" was because it hasn't really done anything severe to me yet, so they want me to start suffering the effects before they can do anything. Even the doctors begged and pleaded, but the insurance company still refused. I dropped that insurance, and got a new one now, so hopefully they can do something.
