Is it normal that i want to live alone?

I'm simply sick of living with other people and most of what comes with it. I like my privacy.

  • I got my own apartment (first time without roommates, etc.) about a month ago and I love it. It feels like a haven from the outside world, and I definitely feel more psychologically at peace living alone.

It is bliss, isn't it? Yesss.

I peeped your profile... holy moly, I haven't heard that song in ages, gave me flashbacks. Nice little trip down lack-of-memory lane :)

      • Hi dirtybirdy! (: That's cool to hear, what kinds of things does the song remind you of? (If you don't mind me asking.)

    Normal.

Not much fun though if you are feeling unwell, It's always nice to have someone to play nurse while you are ill.

      Oh, hell, no!

When I'm ill, I just want to be left the fuck alone, but my wife drives me nuts with her fussing and fretting.

Of course, in the usual way of these things, when she's unwell, I treat her like I'd like to be treated, then she gets hurt because I'm not fussing over her like a fricking mother hen.

      • I prefer to be left alone when I'm sick too. I look and feel like shit. My mother seems to always wake me up when I'm trying to take a nap, lol.

        She's asking if I'm okay sometimes, but it's counter-productive.

You think that you want that but once you achieve solitude you won't like it that much

You don't know that: many people enjoy solitude

Perfectly normal. Most other people get on my nerves.

  • YES. You know what you want. If you can afford to do it, make it happen asap. If you change your mind later, you can always get a roommate or move.

I live alone. I like the solitude but too much of it is not pleasant, nor is it good for you mind. Friends are hard to find.

  • I used to yearn for the day I would live by myself. It's been eight years on and I cry everyday, at the same time, feeling desperately lonely.

So why are you still living alone then? Crying every day at the same time sounds weird to me

      • My family is gone. And I'm single. Well, not crying everyday really but I constantly feel very lonely.

Roommate can be cool at times, but some can also be drama too!!!

At least if it your house you know company going to leave eventually and it's nice to have peace of mind sometimes privacy once in awhile it's good for the soul time to meditate.
