Is it normal that i want to have a serious physical/mental illness?

There's not a single person in the world who loves me and accepts me for who I am. Everywhere I go, I only get hate or judged by everyone else. I wish I was seriously ill because that's the only way people would ever care about me. Sick people always get so much love and attention from everyone else. I wish people would care about me like that, even if it's just out of simpathy. I also feel bad when I see people struggling with an illness because I feel I deserve it so much more than them.

Is It Normal?

  • You sound depressed, my dear. Truth be told, mentally ill people are judged unfairly by others all the time.
    :-'(

I also suspect that you're in need of more validation in your life.

  • People with disabilities often deal with discrimination and rejection from society.

  • Talk to people who have actually been that ill. I doubt they'd agree with you.

  • Don't ever wish something like that for yourself! You'll regret it if it comes true. For your information, any family will strain under the influence of illness. People, even the best of us, eventually tire of trying to be sympathetic. You don't want to go from being uncared for to being both sick and uncared for. Illness, physical or mental, is always really hard for a family to cope with. Of course, you'd get passing sympathy, but some people are going to write you off and think of you as weak and pathetic or think you're just trying to get attention.

  • Girl! I am all alone for the last 10 years and no one is even bothered about me.Sometimes I do have this feeling of comiting suicide but when I am able to help someone, who is less fortunate then I am then I think that how important I am. Go! And help someone who is not as fortunate as you are, then blog your feelings once again. I am pretty sure by then your mentality is gonna change.
