Your dad has probably spent the best part of his life making sure you do more than survive, he wanted what all parents want most for their kids, to flourish and be happy.
If he wanted you to merely survive he'd only have to give you water and food once in a while :). But I'm sure the man tried the best that he could to make sure you are a champion-version of himself.
The 'point in life' as his child is to prove he was right investing his time and love in a person like you. You are his legacy, his proof to the world that he could accomplish something great.
If you crumble now, then that's it, you'll put to waste all of it. It will be like he never even tried...
It's times like this, you have to pick up where he left off, being the better man whenever you can. It's a big order, but it's what every child owes to their parent.
